AB Leads in Four Categories in the Computerworld TOP200 2023 Report
AB S.A., the largest Polish IT distributor, the largest provider of IT equipment, the largest supplier of third-party IT equipment, and the largest IT company in Poland. AB S.A. – a leader in IT and electronics distribution in Central Europe – has secured the 1st place in a total of four categories in the „Computerworld TOP200 2023, the Polish teleinformatics market” report. The report was published by IDG, the publisher of Computerworld magazine, in cooperation with the research company IDC.
With sales reaching 9.1 billion PLN in 2022, AB leads in four categories included in the Report, confirming its position as the industry leader in the region. Thanks to these achievements, it is the largest Polish IT distributor, the largest provider of IT equipment, the largest supplier of third-party IT equipment, and also the largest IT company in Poland. It’s worth noting that AB has secured its leadership position in these Computerworld TOP200 categories once again, and the title of the largest IT company has been earned for the seventh time. Compared to the 2021 results, the company has experienced a growth rate of 13.8% year on year.

As highlighted in the report’s commentary, the IT industry traditionally managed well in challenging and unpredictable external conditions – in 2022, it grew by 13% to over 100 billion PLN.
The retail sector, which dethroned banking, is the industry making the largest IT purchases. Furthermore, the largest increase in IT spending occurred in the media sector, with an astonishing 83% growth rate. Technological solutions and digitization enable the development and creation of a competitive advantage, and investment in digitization drives many sectors, including trade, logistics, banking, and administration. It’s worth noting that many companies prioritize cybersecurity, with security being a strategic concern. The report highlights that Poland can boast one of the most cyber-resilient financial systems in the world.
The Computerworld TOP200 is a study of the Polish ICT market. Its goal is to provide a comprehensive overview of the Polish teleinformatics industry in terms of IT company revenues and to present the industry’s perspectives and challenges. The data in the 2023 Report, which shows the results of companies for 2022, is already the 31st edition of the study. This year’s TOP 200 ranking includes 344 companies.
