AB S.A. was recognised once again as the largest Polish IT company and the largest Polish distributor by the Computerworld magazine, which has just published the latest edition of its TOP 200 ranking list. According to the editorial team, 2021 was another successful year for the IT sector, with the industry’s value growing by as much as 19% – from 75 billion to 89 billion PLN, an enormous jump from 9% growth in 2019-2020. AB S.A. had to compete against 366 IT companies in this year’s ranking to win the title of best Polish IT company. Our company also recorded one of the highest growth rates in the entire IT sector; what is more, the AB Capital Group also ended up on the podium among the largest IT companies. In their commentary to the ranking, Computerworld editors noted that banking was the sector with most orders for IT products, as over the course of the last year, revenue from sales of solutions to this sector grew by 7%. Another major customer is retail, which spent 16% more on IT than on the preceding year. As always, a sizeable portion of the ICT industry’s revenue was provided by the public sector, where the value of orders increased by more than 14%.
