IT Night on data security
Attacks on networks are becoming more and more advanced, while security solutions need to do everything they can to keep pace with them. The main topics of the next edition of IT Night will be issues related to data storage and security. The meeting will take place on the 5th of September (Wednesday) at 6.45 p.m. in Barbara on Świdnicka Street in Wrocław.
The first part of the meeting will be devoted to managing information security in the organisation in order to operate in accordance with the requirements of GDPR. The hosts will share a variety of ways of carrying out risk analyses, technical solutions worth implementing and information regarding conducting the “Security” project.
This will be followed by a technical part, featuring a presentation by Synology, manufacturer of high-end NAS servers and one of the partners of the next edition of IT Night, during which the company will showcase their virtual environment designed and optimised for NAS servers – the Virtual Machine Manager. A solution with modern functionalities, which are necessary in a modern Data Centre.
The next part of the meeting will feature solutions by Sophos, another partner of the event. These solutions revolutionise security systems, synchronising network protection with endpoint protection, while ensuring the highest level of security. During a live workshop, the product portfolio will be presented and showcased in a simulated hacking attack, and the Sophos Synchronized Security solution will have an opportunity to show how it provides a high level of protection against network threats in a practical way.
The participants of IT Night will also have an opportunity to get acquainted with the unique Sophos Central console, enabling them to manage computers, mobile devices, encryption solutions, Internet servers and wireless network security from one place. This platform provides solutions for exchanging security information between devices, simple configuration and access to reports and alarms. Collaboration between all security solutions that operate as a single system protects users and company data at the highest level.
Due to the high interest in the event, the organiser – AB Competence Centre – already opened registration for the event. Admission to the event is free and registrations will be considered on first come, first serve basis.
