Patrycja Gawarecka and Jarosław Słowiński Appointed to the Management Board of AB S.A.
The Supervisory Board of AB S.A. (WSE: ABE) has appointed two new Management Board Members effective 1 October 2026, expanding the Management Board to four members. Patrycja Gawarecka will take on the role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), while Jarosław Słowiński will become Chief Operating Officer (COO). Both have been with AB for more than 20 years, overseeing areas that are critical to relationships with business partners and vendors, as well as to the Group’s consistent growth.
The decision of the Supervisory Board of AB S.A. responds to the company’s development plans and the growing scale of its business, which generated PLN 15.6 billion in consolidated sales over the last four reported quarters. This marks another stage in strengthening the management capabilities of the AB Group and encompasses functions directly responsible for key areas of strategic growth: sales development and digital transformation, as well as vendor relationships and operational efficiency. The expansion of the Management Board is consistent with the succession process carried out in March this year, when Zbigniew Mądry took over as CEO.
– I would like to congratulate Ms Patrycja Gawarecka and Mr Jarosław Słowiński on their professional achievements to date and their significant contribution to building the value of the AB Group. I am also confident that this natural strengthening of the Management Board will contribute to developing a strategy for sustainable and stable growth of the AB Group, – says Michał Wnorowski, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of AB S.A.
– Expanding the Management Board is a natural consequence of the scale the AB Group has reached and the ambitions with which we look to the future. Patrycja Gawarecka and Jarosław Słowiński have been contributing to the company’s success for more than 20 years, building its strongest capabilities: Poland’s largest B2B partner network, vendor relationships and the Group’s expertise. Their appointments confirm the strength of AB’s management team and its ability to develop leaders who are ready to take on the company’s most senior roles, – emphasizes Zbigniew Mądry, CEO of AB S.A.
Expertise Reflecting Strategic Growth Priorities
The new allocation of responsibilities within the Management Board reflects the Group’s key management areas and identifies the main directions for its continued growth.
Patrycja Gawarecka will be responsible for the Sales Department, Corporate Communications Department, Marketing Department, Analytics Department and E-commerce Department. She has been with the AB Group since 2001 and has served as Sales and Marketing Director since 2008, leading a team of approximately 170 people. Her achievements include developing the largest B2B partner network on the Polish market, creating a multichannel sales model and digitizing sales processes. She is a graduate of Wrocław University of Science and Technology (Computer Science) and postgraduate studies at the Wrocław University of Economics and Business (Foreign Trade).
– At AB, we have created not only the largest network of active B2B business partners, but above all, we have developed an effective multichannel sales model and continuously advance the digitalization and automation of sales processes based on our proprietary e-commerce platforms. In my new role, I want to focus even more strongly on creating competitive advantages for our partners by developing digital tools, automating processes and launching joint initiatives that support their business growth,– says Patrycja Gawarecka, who will become Vice President of the Management Board and CCO of AB S.A. in October.
Jarosław Słowiński will be responsible for the Product Management Department, Presales & Solution Design Department, Competence Center, Service Department and Import Department. He has 27 years of experience in IT/ICT distribution and has been with the AB Group since 2002. Since 2005, he has headed the Purchasing Department. He leads a team of more than 200 people and is responsible for securing distribution agreements, the product portfolio and the Group’s operating profit. He is a graduate of Poznań University of Technology (Enterprise Management) and Warsaw University of Technology (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Energy and Aeronautics).
– We have the best operational efficiency in the industry and the broadest portfolio of products available from stock, which is an important part of our competitive advantages. We consistently fulfil our role as a distributor in the value chain and will continue to expand our cooperation with both existing and new vendors. As the digitalization of everyday life progresses and artificial intelligence technologies develop, the importance of specialized engineering teams and the AB Competence Center is growing. They are building the foundations for our future growth,– says Jarosław Słowiński, who will become Vice President of the Management Board and COO of AB S.A. in October.
The expansion of the Management Board signals that even greater resources and attention will be dedicated to cooperation with business partners and vendors.
– The Supervisory Board’s decision enhances organizational security, strengthens management continuity and decision-making processes across the AB Group, increasing our ability to generate value for shareholders. It is also a strong signal to our partners: the development of joint business projects and long-term growth plans remains a priority, while the AB Group’s financial strength will continue to support business development, – points out Grzegorz Ochędzan, Vice President of the Management Board and CFO of AB S.A.
Organizational Security and Value for Shareholders
Expanding the Management Board provides greater flexibility in the allocation of expertise, strengthens management continuity and enhances the quality of decision-making across the AB Group, including its ATC companies in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The appointment of the new Management Board Members represents a continuation of the existing strategy and development directions. At the same time, the promotion of experienced managers from within the organization confirms that AB is pursuing a deliberate and long-term approach to succession planning and talent development. This approach reduces operational risks, ensures management stability and supports the consistent creation of shareholder value.
As of 1 October 2026, the Management Board of AB S.A. will consist of: Zbigniew Mądry (CEO – President), Patrycja Gawarecka (Vice President, CCO), Grzegorz Ochędzan (Vice President, CFO), and Jarosław Słowiński (Vice President, COO).
