AB Group Delivers Record-Breaking First Half-Year Results and Sees Positive Growth Prospects

The largest IT and consumer electronics distributor in the CEE region (WSE: ABE) maintained a strong growth trajectory in the first three months of 2026 and secured inventory to support the execution of planned large-scale orders. AB Group sees promising development opportunities driven by ongoing digital transformation, as well as the growing importance of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI).

During the first half of the 2025/2026 financial year (October 2025 – March 2026), AB Group, the largest IT distributor in Poland and the CEE region, increased its net profit by one-third year-on-year to more than PLN 135 million, while EBITDA grew by 28% year-on-year to over PLN 209 million. Improved margins were accompanied by revenue growth exceeding 8% year-on-year, bringing total half-year sales close to PLN 9 billion.

In the second quarter of the 2025/2026 financial year alone (January–March 2026), AB Group recorded a similar rate of revenue growth and achieved strong double-digit increases in both EBITDA and net profit.

– Over the years, we have built a strong market-leading position, which allows us to benefit from a number of favorable factors. These include our competencies in AI, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity, as well as our proprietary sales platforms, reseller support solutions, and–importantly–our ability to secure product volumes in today’s challenging market environment. These strengths reinforce our position as the distributor of first choice, – said Zbigniew Mądry, President and CEO of AB S.A.

The Group’s balance sheet as of the end of March reflects preparations for servicing additional contracts from business partners fulfilling public-sector orders, including deliveries of AI laboratories to Polish schools. It also reflects efforts to secure component availability amid ongoing market shortages.

– Our growth is built on solid foundations. We are able to finance business development, including even the largest projects, and provide the funding necessary to secure product availability and pricing for our customers despite the current market challenges. As a natural consequence, we increased both trade payables and inventories. Combined with our financial strength and operational advantages, this positions us strategically to capitalize on emerging business opportunities, – said Grzegorz Ochędzan, Vice President for Finance and CFO of AB S.A.

AB Group is observing increased market activity both in public tenders and across other market segments. Demand for electronic equipment and IT solutions continues to be driven by the rapid development of artificial intelligence, growing cybersecurity spending, and the ongoing digital transformation of businesses and institutions.

Additional market drivers include infrastructure replacement projects following the end of Windows 10 support and the continuing supply gap in components such as RAM memory and SSD drives. Positive prospects are also visible in the potential growth of Apple product sales, with AB Group being the largest Apple distributor in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.
