The alliance of science and business – Wrocław-based AB S.A., the largest distributor of IT and consumer electronics in Poland, as well as Central and Eastern Europe, together with WSB University in Wrocław created new post-graduate programme – “Cloud computing IT Solutions.” Recruitment for the two-semester programme is currently underway.

In a digital world that constantly changes at an astounding pace, the education market is facing new challenges. In response to the expectations of students, but also the requirements set by employers, higher education institutions increasingly cooperate with enterprises and the business world. This is what happened in the case of a new joint venture of AB S.A. and WSB University in Wrocław. The cooperation established between these two entities is based on knowledge, extensive competencies of experts and users of cloud solutions, as well as reputation and over 20 years of experience in education as a business university.

The scope of the new programme encompasses primarily practical issues related to cloud computing, since it is becoming more and more popular with both companies and individual users. Thanks to the broad range of possibilities offered by cloud computing, more and more often IT departments rely on this technology when creating new solutions. However, in addition to its benefits, cloud computing poses challenges related to building architecture, security, scalability and reliability of the designed solutions.

“Our joint initiative with the WSB University in Wrocław, which results in the „Cloud Computing IT Solutions” programme, aims at preparing experts and architects in the field of building IT solutions based on the most popular and advanced tools, such as Microsoft Azure and Office 365. The vast majority of classes will take the form of practical workshops and laboratories implementing specific, real-life  business scenarios using Microsoft cloud solutions. When selecting professors, we focused mainly on their expertise and, above all, their practical experience in the field, confirmed by the implementation of many projects. Their ranks include include many Microsoft Azure MVPs (Most Valuable Professionals). The fact that the scope of available classes includes the knowledge needed to successfully pass the certification procedure in the area of architecture building, implementation and maintenance of IT solutions in the Microsoft cloud computing is an additional advantage of our studies.  Our graduates can enter the labour market with professional qualifications documented by international certificates, which will certainly be valued by potential employers,” – says Bartłomiej Bojarski, one of the professors of the new programme, as well as Presales & Solution Design Business Unit Manager at AB S.A.

The “Cloud computing IT Solutions” programme is addressed to everybody who is interested in Microsoft cloud solutions, in particular to employees of IT departments in enterprises, IT specialists, IT infrastructure administrators, fledgling developers, professionals, practitioners and IT enthusiasts. The scope and form of classes should be interesting to university graduates thinking about expanding their competencies in the area of modern cloud technologies, which are a lasting and strong trend in the IT market.
