The monumental interior of the Centennial Hall in Wrocław hosted the great Gala, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the creation of AB S.A. – the leading European distributor of IT solutions, household appliances and consumer electronics in Europe.

When Andrzej Przybyło founded Przedsiębiorstwo Handlowe AB in 1990, neither he, nor anyone else thought that in this moment he created a company, which will become the largest distributor of IT solutions, household appliances and consumer electronics in Central and Eastern Europe. After 25 years, the company from Wrocław celebrates its 25th birthday as a Capital Group, operating in the Polish, Czech and Slovakian market, employing over a thousand workers in these countries.

The guests were welcomed by the Host of the Gala – Andrzej Przybyło, who came with his wife. When over 600 guests were seated at the tables, it was a signal for the start of an effective fireworks display, which was even more impressive because of the fact that it took place inside the Centennial Hall, under the dome. After such an impressive introduction, Andrzej Przybyło – the founder and current Chairman of the Board of AB S.A. took the stage and presented the history of the company in an effective presentation for the representatives of the resellers, partners and suppliers. The history of a company, which started in a room in a workers’ house and then grew into the distribution giant with an impressive distribution centre in Magnice near Wrocław was also impressive all in itself. This investment, worth over 100 million PLN is a symbolic end of the first 25 years of the company’s existence. Thanks to the state-of-the-art warehouse automation solutions, installed in the Distribution Centre, along with logistics management system, it is not only one of the most innovative centres in this part of Europe, but it also opens a new chapter in the history of the company.

“I am deeply moved and proud that together we have managed to build a company that serves over 16 000 partners as of today. The beginnings were not simple, sometimes even funny; however, I could always count on my colleagues. From the very beginning we were guided by the idea of partnership, fair approach to business… And after many years I can say that it paid off. Today, among the guests on the Gala there are our first clients and suppliers, with whom we have been cooperating for many, many years. This is why I would like to dedicate this Gala to our partners and suppliers – without you, we would not be able to create this company. When I presented the last 25 years of our company’s history, I remembered many difficult moments, full of sacrifices and effort. Right now, however, I want to focus on everything that went right, on our successes and all the happy moments, when we were developing year-to-year, when we won key contracts and grew together with our partners. Right now, after launching the new logistics centre in Magnice near Wrocław, we are certain that we can satisfy the ever-growing expectations of our partners and the distribution market. With much optimism we are looking forward to the upcoming 25 years and further”, said Andrzej Przybyło, Chairman of the Board of AB S.A.

After the official part of the Gala, during which the Deputy Mayor of Wrocław, Adam Grehl, read a special letter to Mayor Rafał Dutkiewicz, the guests started an official dinner. The members of Kabaret Młodych Panów took the roles of the masters of ceremony, and presented some humorous sketches, one of which was specially prepared for this occasion. The star of the evening was the band Kombi, playing their hits and providing excellent entertainment for the guests.

The gala was also a meeting opportunity for the industry representatives, who emphasised the family atmosphere at the event. The celebrations to the tune of musical hits of the last 25 years lasted until early in the morning.
