AB Tops WPROST Ranking of Companies Celebrating 35 Years on the Market

WPROST magazine writes: „This year, over 26,000 Polish companies celebrate their 35th anniversary. That’s how many enterprises, established in 1990, have survived three and a half decades of a free-market economy and are still thriving today. (…) Over these 35 years, they have seen 31 finance ministers, 18 prime ministers, several major crises – and they’re still going strong. Here are the 35 largest companies of the past 35 years.”

AB S.A., founded by Andrzej Przybyło, proudly ranks #1 on this prestigious list.

Many of these companies started from scratch.

“They built something out of nothing – because at the time, there was nothing in the country.”
The beginnings of large-scale business in Poland were modest. Yet some of the companies founded in 1990 have not only survived – they’ve thrived. Today, many are industry leaders and iconic brands, with capital that could be considered a national asset.

AB S.A., the number one on the list, is a Polish company that has grown to become the largest IT and consumer electronics distributor in Central and Eastern Europe, and #5 in all of Europe!
