Andrzej Przybyło, the President of the Management Board of AB S.A., won the “Manager of the Year of the Lower Silesia Region 2022” Contest (in the Large Company category). This means that his economic and financial achievements of the past year, as well as his commitment to local communities, including charitable activities, received the highest scores from the contest’s jury. The contest is organized by the editors of Gazeta Wrocławska and the Lower Silesia Lodge of the Business Centre Club.

Andrzej Przybyło is the founder and President of the Management Board of AB S.A. – a leading distributor of electronic devices and IT solutions in Poland and Central Europe. The company’s headquarters – a modern distribution center – is located in Magnice near Wrocław. Przybyło founded the company in 1990. Today AB is a provider of solutions from all major global manufacturers and the region’s largest distributor of products from Apple, Samsung, Microsoft, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, and Lenovo. In 2022, the company’s turnover exceeded 15 billion zlotys (an increase of 13.8% year-on-year). At the same time, the company contributes to the economic potential and business importance of the Lower Silesia region. The company serves more than 16,000 business partners and is an active participant in the digital transformation and the improvement of cybersecurity of companies.

“Thirty years ago, when I was a sole proprietor, I would have considered such an award as a personal recognition. But now it is primarily a team award. It is the entire AB Group team that I want to thank and point out that every award is also a thank you to them. Our work culture is such that people are strongly independent and identify with the company. Some have been working for it for 20 or 30 years. We are not a typical corporation, and we operate more in the spirit of a family company. We listen to employees and invest in them. This works and brings good results,” explained Andrzej Przybyło, the President of the Management Board of AB S.A., in an interview with Gazeta Wrocławska.

Andrzej Przybyło is also known for his selfless commitment to charity and to helping those in need. For years, he has been supporting the company’s project called “AByrazem,” that includes helping to combat the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, as well as assisting those affected by the war in Ukraine. He continuously supports local orphanages, institutions, organizations, and foundations, including the Orphanage in Bierutów, the Wrocław Hospice for Children, and the “I Have a Dream” Foundation.

The “Manager of the Year of the Lower Silesia Region 2022” contest is the first edition of a local poll organized by Gazeta Wrocławska. The statuette was received by Krzysztof Kucharski, the Vice President of the Management Board and Director for Corporate and Legal Affairs of AB S.A. at the contest’s final ceremony.
