AB is the leader in four categories of the Computerworld TOP200 2023 report

Poland’s largest IT distributor, largest supplier of IT hardware, largest supplier of third-party equipment, and largest IT company in Poland. AB S.A. – a leader in the distribution of IT solutions and electronics in Central Europe – was ranked 1st in as many as four categories of the “Computerworld TOP200 2023, Polish ICT Market” Report. The report was published by IDG, the publisher of the Computerworld magazine, in cooperation with the research company IDC.

With sales on the level of PLN 9.1 billion in 2022, AB is the leader in the four categories included in the Report, thus confirming that it is the IT industry’s leader in the region. Thanks to the results achieved, it is the largest Polish IT distributor, the largest supplier of IT hardware, the largest supplier of third-party equipment, and the largest IT company in Poland. It is worth noting that AB has been the leader in these categories of the Computerworld TOP200 report many times, and in the category of the largest IT company it took the 1st place for the seventh time. Compared to the 2021 results, the company recorded a growth rate of 13.8% year-on-year.

This allows AB to grow faster than the market, and the result is 19 quarters of uninterrupted growth. Consequently, we are strengthening our position as the leader of the IT industry in the region, so we are all the more pleased with AB S.A.’s victory in as many as four categories, in the Computerworlds’ TOP200 2023 ranking. As highlighted in the Report’s commentary, the IT industry has traditionally done well in difficult and unpredictable external conditions, growing by 13% to more than PLN 100 billion in 2022.

The industry with the largest IT purchases is commerce, which has surpassed the banking sector. On the other hand, the largest increase in IT spending, by as much as 83%, was seen in the media industry. Technological solutions and digitization make it possible to grow and build a competitive advantage, and investments in digitization is driving many sectors today, including such sectors as commerce, logistics, banking, and administration. It is worth adding that many companies put cybersecurity at the forefront, and the issue of security is already their strategic topic. The Report highlights that Poland has a financial system that is one of the most resilient to cyber threats.

Computerworld’s TOP200 is a survey of the Polish information and communications technology (ICT) market. Its purpose is to provide a comprehensive overview of the situation of the Polish ICT industry in the context of IT companies’ revenues and to show the prospects and challenges facing the industry. The 2023 Report showing the performance of companies in 2022 is the 31st edition of the survey. This year’s TOP 200 list included 344 companies.
